Take 80 east towards Sacramento

In Sacramento continue on 50 East all
the way to
South Lake Tahoe.

Once in South Lake (just past the
agricultural
check point) take a right on Pioneer Trail, this will take you off HWY
50 for 12 miles ( a little short cut )

After 12 miles you'll merge back onto
HWY 50
towards the casinos.
